⇨ A bully is an individual who tends to torment others, either through verbal harassment or physical assaults, or through more subtle methods of coercion. Verbal bullying has always been a major problem for us teens. There’s always something that you can be teased about, whether it be your size, your hair, or even your skin colour. There’s teasing and there’s bullying. But there is no middle ground. So when you casually tell someone their bag is stupid, their hairdo is dumb or they are thick, just as a joke, it can mean scores of different things and have dozens of different impacts. If the victim is your friend, it’s usually ok. But even when it’s only a light remark, it can hurt. And what is the point? Why tell someone they are rubbish at math as a joke? It’s just being mean. But a lot of people are mean, and in our modern day society teens insult each other all the time. It’s practically become a second language. thanks for reading!!! |
